As a Maintenance Technician at Hexagon Purus, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and conducting repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our production processes, contributing to our overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, robots, pump systems, facility maintenance.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize production interruptions.
- Collaborate with production operators and other team members to address maintenance needs and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Utilize technical manuals, schematics, hand and power tools to troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Document maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules, to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with safety regulations.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Physical Demand & Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

This position requires the employee to wear a full face respirator. As part of the PPE standards of the respirator the employees must be clean shaven.

The employee is moderately required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

This position may work in the plant and outdoors in the field, therefore subject to all weather conditions sometimes to include extreme cold and heat. The work described while working in the plant or field will require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance which may include safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, leather gloves, safety vest and steel toed boots.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency Act of British Columbia, we anticipate this position will pay a salary range of:

$25 - 28/hr CAD

The compensation posted is a guide and may not represent the final amount offered to a candidate. Compensation will be based on candidate skills, qualifications, and overall experience level.

Compensation at Hexagon Purus includes base salary, comprehensive benefits package, variable annual bonus, and 6% RRSP match.
