Hexagon Purus enables zero emission solutions for light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles, buses, ground storage, distribution, maritime, rail, aerospace, and backup power solutions.

Position Overview


Write technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, operating and maintenance instructions, parts manuals, work instructions, diagnostic charts, and schematics.

The job function and typical work activities include:

-Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
- Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
- Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.
- Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction.
- Select and develop photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
- Assist in laying out material for online or print publication.

Qualifications


- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years experience as Technical Writer, preferably with manufacturing industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
- Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Learning Strategies - Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
- Experience in the transportation/technical field preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve outstanding issues.
- Experience working in customer service or sales.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple jobs and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment with fluctuating priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action.
