Hexagon Purus Texas, LLC., a business division focused on vehicle assembly and manufacturing, is currently seeking an EV Assembly Technician to work out of our Mesquite, TX USA facility.

This position will be responsible for the assembly of Hexagon Purus’ battery electric trucks in an automotive manufacturing line environment. This position will utilize cutting-edge tools, equipment, and test devices to ensure quality of assembly. The EV assembly technician will be required to assemble products following drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures within the specified takt times to meet growing customer demand. This role will also be responsible for product quality; completing assembly control plans and interacting with ERP software to log quality data.

Responsibilities

· Perform assembly tasks in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

· Install and connect electrical components, including batteries, motors, controllers, wiring harnesses, and sensors.

· Collaborate with site leadership to resolve any assembly-related issues or improvements.

· Conduct thorough inspections of completed assemblies to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.

· Identify and rectify any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities during the assembly process.

· Participate in quality improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to streamline assembly procedures.

· Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with electric trucks using diagnostic tools and equipment.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, adjustments, and measurements of manufacturing line equipment/tooling.

· Maintain accurate records of assembly activities, including parts usage, time spent, and issues encountered using ERP software.

· Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

· Identify potential safety hazards, opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

· High School diploma or GED.

· Completion of trade/tech school

· Must have in-depth understanding of fastening systems, torque, measurements tools and other assembly techniques.

· Must know how to use different tools and equipment to assemble units according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line.

· Must have previous experience/ability to read engineering drawings.

· Must have previous experience/ability to read wiring schematics.

· Must have previous experience/ability to follow standard operating procedures within specified cycle times
